do they kill the zebras really? i would suspect that to be illegal. are you sure they don't take them off of already dead or sick animals. no? am i being naive?
This does look good. I also love them over sisal or seagrass.
More than likely, this is a stenciled cow-hide. Which is gotten from the meat industry. Most of the zebra skins you see are stenciled cow hides, and this one looks like it is too. Notice how big and "fat" it is?? Also, it doesn't really have a neck or head... a real zebra hide usually includes a neck and mane (which is totally gross).
And yes, they still do kill zebras. In Africa, they are raised kind of like cattle.
