some are terrible some are good. i got the catalog today and was like hmmm....those are quite nice and then i was all....eeeewww...looks like a dentists office circa 1984.
My brother-in-law did a checker board with them in his office and it looks great! Not sure if I would love it in a living room. The Flor catalog is usually amazing - always great rooms and props! I've worked on a lot of catalogs and always wish the clients had an open mind to be more editorial like Flor and less staged.
If you can get the ones where the seams aren't that noticeable, they're not bad. Like the first one and the woodgrain one. But the ones where you can see the seams? Or where they look pieced together?? No. Don't like it.
I like the concept and the idea behind it, but not so much the look. Plus, you can't put a pad under it, so it's hard.
I am a design enthusiast who blogs about ideas for your home, mostly. To contact me for staging services see my website www.AppletreeStaging.com or email me:Kristin@Appletreestaging.com.

ReplyDeletei like the wood grain one.
ReplyDeleteI like the first one, that greek key/trellis business is what I imagine for my guest bedroom as an area rug over wood. When I get one.
ReplyDeleteSome are awful and some are fabulous. I think I may need to do them for my stairs to the basement...
ReplyDeleteGetz, that probs wouldn't work, they are like 16 x 16 inch squares.

oh I never thought of that, why can't you put a pad there?
ReplyDeleteif you're a mod hipster and have an "I'm struggling but I'm still so cool" sort of room--it would work :)
