My new kitchen is going to be like this, but

Rustic white kitchen
not really.  I am getting a sink similar to this one, and some butcher block counters, but not this distressed they are new.  And I do already have white cabinets but they are not rustic. I am contemplating subway tiles, but maybe in black.  What do you think?

    I like white or black, then you can change out your accents/accessories with big color as you like to do. But what will the floor be? That will make a difference on which tile...

    It depends on your space. But the white tiles and white cabinets will help create a more seamless look, and also more expansive. That is what I would go with. Good luck!

    I am also in the process of brainstorming a kitchen re-do. I am going to paint my cabinets white and go with the butcher block. I am contemplating using the subway tile and going with the dark grout. What do you think?
