how does that happen?

 I'd never heard of a fiddle leaf fig
but now I need one

it's mentioned on one blog and then another
and I hardly notice

then one day I find myself google imaging it

and then the obsession starts
and now I am sneaking off to plant stores and nurseries 
on my way to work
between errands
just one more stop

please you guys don't start blogging about meth
I am very suggestable

    I want one too, but I have whatever the opposite of a green thumb is. I'm afraid I'll fall in love with one and then promptly kill it within two weeks.

    Figs are fairly finicky. I spied a huge one at Home Despot and almost brought it home, but then I remembered it would die a horrible death at my house.
