Your prayers and positive energy are working

It was a crazy emotional night

Jack moved his arms

We returned to the ice

His little brother is one cool dude

My kids are in the news video,

A second video explains what a nice kid he is

I'm not with them because I stand on the bench

Kids are great

this is written and performed by one of my all time favorite
kids at BSM
in honor of Jack

he is an amazing talent

too bad he wants to be a doctor

He will not walk

The surgery to fuse his spine went well

but allowed the doctors to see

that the injury to the spinal cord was horrifc

Jack will not walk and does not have use of his hands.

The outpouring of support on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Caringbridge

has been almost as much of a story as the story itself.

Kids all over the country wore white today in support of Jack.

I'm not sure how a 16 year old faces this reality.

I am having trouble with it.

I pray for that peace which passes all understanding.
I pray for that peace which the world can neither give nor take away.

Pray for Jabs

Jack Jablonski is a sophomore hockey player at my school

It is my job to take care of the athletes here

and keep them healthy

and help them return to play safely after an injury

and help them deal emotionally with their injury

but a lot of what I do is just putting on bandaids or taping ankles really

I run on the field or the court or the ice when an athlete goes down

and I get them back up

except when I was at my parents celebrating Christmas

and someone else was covering the team for me

and Jack went down

and has not gotten up yet

you can read about it here

or go to his caringbridge site and leave a message

or say a prayer please
