How can someone take all these beautiful fabrics and mix them in a way that looks granny and not "granny chic" and then make the cover of House Beautiful? I think it's fugly. Disagree? Tell me why.

I completely agree. It looks more Better Homes & Gardens than House Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteugh...should i save my $4.50 this month?
ReplyDeleteActually boops, I loved the issue with the exception of the cover story, especially the Peter Frank house.
ReplyDeleteat first when the photo popped up i was scared cause i thought you loved it so i am happy to know we share the same taste on this one. its just wrong.
ReplyDeleteI'm pissed at House Beautiful because they messed up my subscription, so I've missed 3 issues.
ReplyDeleteThat said, it is a living room fit for someone's grandmother who smells faintly of gin and sen sen and reminisces about her days in India. I'd like to spend an afternoon or two with her, but not live there.
same here. i really liked this issue too but thought this particular room was a bad choice. it seems so contrived and forced.
ReplyDeleteloved the peter frank house too.
oh well said Amy!
ReplyDeleteWhen did you get your issue??? I haven't gotten mine yet.... hmmmm..... I get a little scared when I think I may have missed a magazine (although, it's only Sept. 13).
ReplyDeleteEh, it's okay. I don't really like it. But what I'm really having issue with is that art. What the hell is that? Kids drawings of doodles and eyeballs??
Thanks for the preview! Will look for it on stands!
ReplyDeleteMaybe the editor was hallucinating when this was picked ;)I feel bad for those beautiful fabrics. They deserve more than that :)
