to your nephew's wedding (above)


it must be different than what you wore last summer


to your cousin's wedding (below)
 

because it is the other side of the family
the conservative, lutheran, Norwegian side
and cleavage would raise some eyebrows
and cause some whispers
and you would have to sit alone
and feel shame

it is also a month earlier
and thus much colder

and you belong to the generation older
than the party getting married
and so must dress accordingly

but still

you will rock these shoes
and by you
